Events are things that run periodically and have a set task for the player to complete. Prizes are awarded to players who score highly on the leaderboard, however, even just participating will award you. There are various types of events:
Bait:
Bait, also known as ‘Fishing Event’ is an event that happens randomly on Finalwind. It will be announced 30 minutes prior with the message ‘Bait starts in 30 minutes’. This gives players time to gather their rods and assemble their team in preparation. Once the event begins, all spawn regeneration is paused, and players in spawn are force spawn-tagged for the duration of the event. To get points, players must fish within spawn. If you leave teleport, die, or leave spawn in any way, you will lose all your points. Players who kill you will be rewarded with your points upon death. The event lasts 20 minutes and the goal is to have the most points at the end.
Rewards:
1st Place: 16x Dragon Egg, 3x Evolved Blue Fish, 10x Star Remnant, 1x Heart of the Ocean
2nd Place: 12x Dragon Egg, 2x Evolved Blue Fish, 8x Star Remnant
3rd Place: 8x Dragon Egg, 1x Evolved Blue Fish, 6x Star Remnant
Participation (Must catch at least 10 fish): 4x Dragon Egg
Fox Hunt:
Fox hunt is another event that occurs randomly on the server. The event will be announced an hour before the start. Players are tasked with killing as many foxes as they can within the duration of the event. Every fox killed is one point. Unlike Bait, leaving spawn, teleporting, or dying will not reset a player’s score. Similarly, killing players will not award the killer with any score. This means that players can kill in peace, without fear of losing all their score to a powerful player. The event lasts for 15 minutes and similar to Bait, the goal is to have the most points at the end of the event.
Rewards:
1st Place: 16x Dragon Egg, 25x Finalwind Gold Coin, 1x Forbidden Cocoa Beans
2nd Place: 12x Dragon Egg, 25x Finalwind Gold Coin
3rd Place: 8x Dragon Egg, 25x Finalwind Gold Coin
Participation: 4x Dragon Egg
Loot Chest:
Loot Chest is an event that occurs randomly on the server. Unlike the other events, the Loot Chest is not objective-based. Eight minutes prior to the Loot Chest spawning, the coordinates will be announced in chat. It can only ever spawn in a location outside of spawn and contains valuable rewards for players who are brave enough to go to it.
Potential Rewards:
5-10x Sweet Berries
2-5x Enchanted Golden Apples
4-6x Embers
4-6x Star Remnants
1-3x Dragon Eggs
1x Key of Midas
1x Veloce
Castle Event:
The Castle Event, unlike the rest, is an event that is scheduled, not random. It occurs every Saturday at 2 PM Eastern Time. Instead of every player for themself, like other events, Castle is clan-based. For the duration of the event, the Castle area is unbreakable, and players who enter it are put in adventure mode. Clans can get points by their members last hitting the sheep located in the Castle. By doing so, any player who is not in the clan who last hit the sheep is purged from the Castle and sent to the very beginning, where they will have to utilize their skills to make it back into the sheep room and kill the sheep without allowing the clan holding to get too many points. In the end, each clan who killed the sheep at least once will have a percentage of the Finalwind Castle held based on their score. The event lasts for 30 minutes.
Rewards:
The rewards for Castle are untraditional, in the sense that players are not immediately awarded as the event ends. The clan who scored the most in the event will gain one Victory Bean per day until the next Castle event. This Victory Bean can be traded at /tptrader Elusive Bean Master, for consumable items that alter the economy or spawn regeneration in some way. The leader of the clan who scores the most then has a choice to lead Finalwind into a state of either Anarchy or Fascism and Communism or Capitalism. Capitalism increases the spawn trader prices for items by 10% per level (maximum of two). By doing so, any difference between the now inflated price, and the original price, is considered as tax, and upon any player trading with the spawn villagers, that difference will be awarded to clans holding Castle. The holding clan can also choose to strategically lead Finalwind into Communism, contrarily reducing spawn trader prices by 10% per level, providing a significant discount for clans who need to buy gear for their members, or have other agendas.
